Welcome to our ikor-no-mori English site!
We will be introducing and updating news on ikor-no-mori here on this blog.

For starters｡ﾄ a little bit about this place.

｡ﾈikor-no-mori｡ﾉ is a woodland filled with treasures.
The word ｡ﾈikor｡ﾉ derives from the Ainu language used among the aborigines of Hokkaido, meaning ｡ﾈtreasure｡ﾉ.


Ikor-no-mori originally opened as a facility that nurtures the natural environment surrounding us for future generations, whilst cherishing the treasures it provides us.
Aspiring for a recycling-oriented system, we have focused on regenerating healthier woodlands through thinning, and the use of charcoal and firewood as biomass energy.
There are several exciting outdoor activities that take place at ikor-no-mori throughout all seasons!

Ikor-no-mori consists of the Gardens, a garden shop, a nursery, a charcoal studio, a restaurant, a dog run, a horse-riding club, and an adjoining green centre that provides visitors with the finest selection of predominantly 2,000 perennial plants.
The gallery ｡ﾈmori no gakko｡ﾉ offers field activities and programs related to art, nature and environmental topics.

about accommodations

Here at ikor-no-mori, we offer a cosy place to stay ｡ｽ for special events, or simply to enjoy a winter getaway.
Each room comprises of 2 beds, a loft, and a public kitchenette.
Accommodation details for a bed and breakfast are as listed below.

*No accommodation fees are charged for children under the age of 6.
*Heating costs will be additionally charged during winter seasons.
